Flexible, Stage-Based Fee Approach

​​Every family situation is different. Rather than requiring clients to commit to a full package up front, New Chapter Mediation offers a structured, stage-based approach. Clients  "pay as they go" and receive assistance with the specific parts of the process they need, while maintaining control over costs and pacing. Each stage ends with the tools clients may use to continue on to their next step with New Chapter Mediation or via an alternate path. A more detailed fee structure will be provided in your free consultation but clients will typically investing no more  than $1600 total for this service.

Clarify and Issue Identification

  • Understand and verbalize the current situation

  • Identify areas of agreement/disagreement 

  • Gather information on children, finances, property, support, etc.

  • Create discussion framework

 

Mediation Sessions

  • Facilitate discussions with equal opportunity for both parties to share

  • Generate ideas/options

  • Explore interests and concerns

  • Reach tentative agreement

Marital Settlement Agreement (MSA) & Parenting Plan Development

  • Draft the MSA 

  • Draft the Parenting Plan 

  • Review documents for completeness 

  • Ensure both parties understand the terms

 

Other Document Preparation Support

  • Assist with completion and organization of Florida family law forms

  • Help clients prepare for the final in the process​

 

 

Clients may stop after any stage or continue through the entire process, depending on their needs.
