Divorce Without Attorneys Starts With the Decisions

New Chapter Divorce Prep™ helps couples work through the decisions a Florida divorce actually requires, and turns those decisions into a Marital Settlement Agreement and Parenting Plan. Most people arrive thinking the hard part is the paperwork. It isn't. The paperwork is tedious but manageable — what takes real thought is deciding how timesharing will work, how expenses get handled, who keeps what, and what happens when circumstances change. That's the work I do with you.

A Different Way to Get Divorced

Divorce Prep is designed for couples who want to work through their divorce together rather than begin with litigation. You don't have to have everything figured out before you start.

We'll work through the decisions that need to be made, identify areas of agreement, address unresolved issues, and document the decisions you reach together.

You get:

  • Guidance through the decisions that matter

  • Private mediation sessions to work through unresolved issues

  • A Marital Settlement Agreement and Parenting Plan, when applicable, drafted from the decisions you reach

  • Resources for filing on your own, including Florida's approved family law forms and your clerk's office

  • Pay-as-you-go pricing and the freedom to stop at any time

Stage 1: Understanding Where You Are

Couple beginning divorce preparation by gathering information and understanding the Florida divorce process

We start with where things stand today—what you've already agreed on, what still needs to be decided, and what it will take to move forward. You'll leave with a roadmap for the sessions ahead.

Fee: $150

Stage 2: Money Decisions

Couple reviewing financial information and working through divorce decisions together

We work through income, property, debts, alimony, and the other financial matters your Marital Settlement Agreement has to address. You'll leave with your financial decisions documented and organized.

Fee: $350

Stage 3: PArenting Decisions
(where applicable)

Florida divorce preparation checklist for organizing parenting, financial and property decisions

We work through timesharing, decision-making, and the other parenting questions your Parenting Plan has to answer, along with child support and the child support worksheet. You'll leave with your parenting decisions documented.

Fee: $350

Stage 4: final Agreements

Couple working together on divorce agreements and preparing to move forward

I prepare your Marital Settlement Agreement and Parenting Plan from the decisions you've made and send them to you to read on your own time. We then meet to go through any revisions you both agree to. You leave with agreements ready to file.

Fee: $400

Pricing subject to change. Contact me for the most current rates.
